In order to meet the challenges of the NHS 5 Year Forward View, General Practice must adapt and evolve. CHEC believes the necessary changes in general practice must come from the general practices themselves, but that the perception of the need for change, the agreement on the change, and the optimal implementation plan can all be facilitated. CHEC offers experienced primary and health care professionals who understand the current climate, and who bring realistic expectations to a discussion on patient experience.
CHEC’s sole mission is to develop the workforce and skills in primary care, and thus to improve patient care. CHEC achieves this through the organisation and provision of education, including Protected Learning Time for our partner CCGs; the provision of referral management services (The Gateways) to CCGs; and through project work including practice and service reviews, analyses of referral quality, and consultancy.
